July 18, 2017

Here's our first sighting of the next BMW X5 M (F95)! Based on the next gen X5 (G05), the new X5 M will share the same powertrain as the upcoming F90 M5, powered by the S63B44T4 engine. The new X5 M and X6 M will also share the same new M xDrive system and 8 speed automatic with the F90 M5 (details).

Compared to the upcoming G05 X5, this X5 M prototype features the standard issue M features -- larger air intakes up front, larger wheels, M brakes, quad tipped exhaust.

The F95 X5 M will start production in 2019 as a model year 2020 (in US).
