I have just ordered a new X5 xLine (19" wheels), and decided to go the 'all season' route. The dealer will fit Michelin CrossClimate tyres (165/50 R19) pre-delivery, at a price similar to tyre shops. Whilst they are not "BMW approved" (no all season tyres are) the dealer is happy to fit them.

I then have 4 standard tyres with just delivery mileage to sell - so if anyone is interested...

I have all-season tyres (Bridgestone A05) on my present car, and in normal (summer) use they don't seem any different to summer tyres to me. They have the side advantage of being a lot better on wet grass/ mud.
