I had the same thing happen. IND took it back and is repainting it and adding more ceramic but I agree with you that painted is going to chip no matter what. I’ve decided to swap out my painted grill and use an original OEM grille for longer trips and use the painted one around town. As easy as it is to swap them out and since I don’t take all that many trips, I think that will work for me. And I’ll just touch up any dings I get otherwise.
