If you have some experience and want a crop body, I can't recommend anything other than the 7D/7D II. I'm a full frame guy, so Idk what the 7D2 is going for these days, but I had an original 7D when I was starting out. It was incredibly tough, and handled extremely well. Does video very well too. And my favorite part: you don't get the little running dude or flower or "scene" modes. It's no nonsense. Essentially a 5D series with a smaller sensor. Pair it with a Tamron 17-50 2.8 and you've got a fantastic setup. If you guys want I can show examples of things I did with that if I can dig them up lol
