When they moved the filters from the engine bay to under the glove box, its tougher to replace filters. My F30 filters are in the same location. The first time I change that filter it took an hour of frustration. Then, I watched a video. Now I think I can change that filter in 5 minutes.
Armed with good info like you posted, there is no reason to pay to have this done.

You are right. I have replace these in both locations and much prefer doing it under the hood. I highly recommend laying down a few large bath towels over your door sills as it’s hard on your back and if you are over 6’, it’s very tight in the footwell.
. Once you know what to do, this is really a 15 minute job the next time you do it.
