Thanks for making this thread, it very interesting to read. So based on the past few posts on the cowl replacement, it looks like the replacement sheet metal is glued into place vs. welding it, or is that just sealant?

I get the mod of closing up some of the cabin air intake vent, but why wouldn't you, or the replacement parts manufacturer place fine, hard screening under the vent area and add drains to the lower cowl panel.

Just curious.

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."
