Those "wrinkles" are intentional. Enough people commented on prior generation X5s saying the rear seats weren't quite comfortable enough until the leather wore in that they purposefully use a bit of extra material to allow more give in the seat when you sit in it, thus making it more comfortable from day 1.
It's not sloppy craftsmanship or QC, it's intentional design. Sure, it doesn't look like the most beautiful thing out there, but if you actually use those seats, you'll absolutely appreciate it.
