This visibility only really applies to flash based tuned. Piggyback tunes, on the other hand, work by effectively shielding the DME from higher-than-stock boost data. In the case of the Procede, the Procede computer feeds the DME a boost signal based upon its CAN DME Boost Target. Once the DME is satisfied, it controls boost all by itself without the DME knowing any better. The advantage is unrestricted boost control and complete diagnostic invisibility.
