Was thinking of trading in our 2020 G05 but after really looking at the BMW options I think I find myself a bit ‘disenfranchised’.

I think what’s causing my thinking is the general electrification elements being forced upon us in all products we would consider buying.

I don’t desire a mild hybrid 48v motor in the transmission for a host of reasons, including complexity and weight. Look at all the issues and gremlins the XM and 50e have. I definitely don’t desire it, or other electric propulsion elements in M variants.

And the reliance on screens and layers of menus. Hard pass. I look at our G05 and F95 and really like the fact there is still a driver centric cockpit of sorts. No such thing in current models.

Getting old I guess! (Gen X)? Maybe someone can show me the silver lining in the current direction

Next vehicle looks to be a used 2014 Cayenne S or GTS with a normally aspirated v8.
