The BMW X5 Timeless Edition

BMW Italia in collaboration with Alcantara has created the BMW X5 Timeless Edition to pay homage to the progenitor of the BMW X range with an exclusive limited edition of 50 units.
The X range was born in 1999 with the introduction of the BMW X5, the BMW Group's first sport activity vehicle that paved the way for the world of off-road vehicles with dynamic sports car characteristics. To date, the X range includes all the numbers from X1 to X7 including even the sportiest Sport Activity Coupé characterized by the even number from X2 to X6. During 2019 one BMW sold out of 2 belongs to the X family (49.1% of BMW registrations in Italy in 2019 with an increase of 9% compared to 2018).
BMW X5 is the model that best embodies the DNA of the BMW X family. The fourth generation of this SAV has further affirmed its strong personality and has brought its modernity to levels never reached; the latest generation has defined a new X design language characterized by robustness, clarity and precision. BMW X5 is the icon of the X range and perfectly combines elegance with off-road characteristics. Precisely because of its dual nature, at the launch of the fourth generation of BMW X5 it was chosen to recreate the Monza track in the sand of the Essaouira desert in Morocco. For this Edition it was decided to take this concept of car with a pure X character by choosing the xLine version with xOffroad package in the Mineral White body color.
The configuration has been further enriched in an offroad perspective: aesthetically, with the aluminum side steps with rubber inserts and, in terms of attitude and driving performance, with the xOffroad package, the air suspension on the two self-leveling axles, the sport differential M Sport and Integral Active Steering. In particular, the xOffroad package represents an unmissable option for off-road driving enthusiasts: four specific off-road driving modes (xSand, xRocks, xGravel, xSnow) that automatically adjust all vehicle parameters: from ground clearance to vehicle configuration. all-wheel drive xDrive, from the throttle response to the corrections of the DSC stability control system.
The interiors of the BMW X5 Timeless Edition have been completely customized by Alcantara making it an exclusive limited edition, elegant, but at the same time suitable for off-road use. Alcantara, in fact, is a resistant, light, easy to clean material and allows perfect adherence. The interior of the BMW X5 Timeless Edition was developed and manufactured by Alcantara exclusively for this Edition. The cockpit of the Timeless Edition welcomes passengers wrapping them completely in the comfort of Alcantara, in an elegant and refined environment. The front and rear seats were, in fact, covered in black Alcantara, in the plain or perforated version.
Alcantara has taken care of every detail: with the same exclusive design, alternating with Alcantara plain, the front and rear seats, the central front armrest, the central rear armrest, all the door panels and the pavilion have been covered.
Finally, to celebrate the exclusivity of this Edition and the collaboration with this famous Made in Italy brand, the passenger's headrest has undergone further customization. The “powered by Alcantara” writing, made in electro-welding, and the celebratory label “Timeless Edition 1/50” make this precious Limited Edition even more unique. More than ever with the Timeless Edition, the BMW X5 will be the ideal partner for any trip, whatever the destination and whatever the route.
