Ive had several gas PWs and if youre doing houses, driveways, etc., you will need that power and volume. However, I will never own another one, and just hire that work done. As far as a nice general purpose machine an electric is the way to go. This one is really all you need and for $120 will serve you well. I have an older model and it has been quite reliable.
