It is fine as far as I am concerned and gas mileage is not on my list of important features for any vehicle.
The aggressive driving monkeys who go gas, brake, gas, brake, tailgate everyone who gets in their way, slice and dice like morons playing "who gets to the next red light first" are not going to get anywhere near 17+ MPG on an M50i.
