It's only available on MY2020 in countries that support it.
There are codes to enable on MY2019, but the checkbox cannot be enabled in idrive. I believe this is because the radar sensors in the flank, SRR (HRSNR and HRSNL) need to be coded to High_Performance type. When coded, these generate an unsupported hardware error in ISTA, and the system cannot be activated.
The two front sensors don't complain when configured as High_performance, I guess because these support the capability.
Guess you could replace the rear sensors if really required, but I would never use it. It's hard enough reversing out of the garage with the rear braking enabled, never mind flank as well! |
Are you saying that MY19 doesn't support A_PDC at all or just A_PDC_FP for the flank option?
