Hi All,

A current M3 and former 2017 X5 owner here - I'm pulling the trigger on a 2021 Grigio Telesto X6M Competition through a broker who's working with a reputable high-volume East Coast dealer that is an expert in working with BMW individual/ production slots.

I placed my deposit beginning of January and feedback has been my individual production slot/timing is still up in the air and they haven't been able to give me an idea of when it'll get produced/delivered. Right now they're estimating April delivery with 12-week lead time - but again can't seem to provide me with any confirmation/concrete timing.

Question is: with individual being new to SC plant, is this type of ambiguity normal (other members experiencing same thing) or am I being jerked around by dealer? Reason I'm going with them is a 10% discount off MSRP but wanted to get everyone's feedback. But having my $5K deposit taken by dealer with no idea when I'm getting the thing is slightly concerning.
