The Telluride's main competitors are the Pilot, Highlander, Atlas, etc. But there is nothing wrong with comparing it to an X5. As a customer, you are free to compare whatever makes and models you want. It's your money. But the X5 and Telluride are different. Most people think that Bimmers cost so much is because of the name. But that is not 100% true. Once you drive any BMW, you will immediately feel/see/experience the difference. This is the same for most of the luxury car makers. You get what you pay for.
