Using WiFi means you are getting much better sound quality from your iPhone compared to Bluetooth
I believe CarPlay uses airplay which is used for HQ audio streaming
On my audi I notice a big differ nice in the lower bass when I switch from Bluetooth to CarPlay
Especially because I have a trunk mount 10” sub with 600 watts
