Mercedes does not have the 12 years anti-rust corrosion protection and they rust. And that's a big no no for me. And while I do respect their tech, design wise there are very few I like. The CLS and E keep a conservatory style outside, but only the CLS interior is appealing to me. The new X3 and the X5 are both nice.

Thanks.
I use to finance my cars and keep them for 8-10 years, I even kept my last E46 330i for almost 12 years and 200k miles, however since around 2015 my jobs location has moved much closer, and finances have been very good so I thought I'd try leasing since I always want the newest and coolest cars on sale, and I don't really trust any of the new tech to last a long time or be as reliable. I would never buy the CLS 53 and keep it out of warranty due to the engine being very complex and a first generation product, but luckily with leasing I can be kept in warranty and still experience all of the cool technology while it works. Interesting that you say only the CLS interior is appealing, its pretty much just a carbon copy of the E-Class interior.
