Turbo's a pretty stressed (well, maybe not in this application) moving part. Depends all on how you treat it. I'd be willing to bet that if you drive really hard the things will die in the low 100k ish range. But you'd probably be needing an engine rebuild then too.

And other smaller maintenance parts like the water pump etc would be nickel and diming you before that anyway.

The way I drive, I wouldn't really expect my motor to make it much past 100k before needing some work. If I had a turbo I'd expect that to be one of the things it'd need.

No different in my mind than needing new brake rotors ... it's a wear item.
