i4 is a hatchback, which, if it is anything like my 2018 330 GT was, has massive amounts of storage space. Compared to my X3, the 330i GT would have been better with a stroller and baby bag due to the longer lay down length. I don't know the specs for the i4, but now that they are arriving at dealers, you may want to investigate. Allocations are slim for those as well though...
I loved my F15 X5 40e, especially when tooling around in the DC area where I used to live. Close in parking was available at a lot of places for a PHEV, a nice perk. I had a much, much shorter commute (thankfully), but it was nice being able to be on electric during the stop and go part and then gas if the road opened up at all.
Congrats on the twins and GL on your decision.

Thanks!
I ended up placing an order for the X5 45e today. MSRP with $1000 off for loyalty.
