+1. What I don't know is if it is truly artificial sound or the actual engine sound pumped back in through the speakers (since the glass keeps so much out). I recall reading somewhere about pumping the real sound back in via microphones and speakers, but don't recall what car company did that vs purely artificial (and could be completely making that up, mind playing tricks on me). Believe BMW's is purely artificial.

Also, I don't have these menu options on my x-line 40i. But I'm not sure that means I don't have the artificial sound, or just that I can't adjust it. Anyone know?
It might just be sound piped in though the speakers but it seems like engine noise.
