Those of you who are obsessive oil changers need to stop. Modern oils and filter material (like those used in a BMW) are pretty amazing. So is the metalurgy and machining on a new BMW motor. The translation here is that oil lasts a LOT longer then your grandfather's 3000 mile changes.
You do more damage to your car when you start it up right after an oil change, when all the galleries are drained, then you do by going 10,000 or 15,000 between changes.
Isn't technology amazing?
