It will not fit.
I have done most of the test fitting for AutoTecknic.
F15/F16/F85/F86 clip positions are different.
But, if you also change the outer ring, it will fit.
I believe that what
dubsesd used.
While my customer with X7, uses F97 X3M mirror cover and outer ring. (Picture attached).
The mirror cover on F97/F98 X3M/X4M have curves unlike the F85/F86 X5M/X6M.
I believe the upcoming F95/F96 X5M/X6M will be using the same one as F87/F98 X3M/X4M.
