Neither the E34 and E61 M5 Tourings were limited-production models, and yet they didn't sell much more than two thousand of them in total. But about a half of E 63's for sale in Germany right now are wagons; also RS 6's are not uncommon. Either BMW did not advertise them enough or people did not want them back in the day.
