I've ordered the part, its on its way from Germany.
I'm going to get the dealer to do it at the next service which is only next month away in October, I dont wanna stuff anything up.
Apparently after installation it needs to be coded into the car, because there are some iDrive7 menus that you can configure stuff on, so the computers need to know about it.
