Just be sure any silicone spray product you use doesn't contain any petroleum products or it will degrade the rubber. And be cautious of overuse - it can make dissimilar materials (like your windows) stick to the rubber surface and pull it away if in contact for a long time. It certainly works, lots of people use it, and as an all-purpose lubricant won't freeze, but it does tend to collect dirt and dust if applied too thickly, and get sticky over time. I prefer to use a product specifically designed for door seals.
