I have a x5 without the HK and a 540 with it and yes it is better than the Base It is most definitely not a deal breaker ( for me atleast ). Hi-Fi gets the job done |
I will add the base system was decent from the small amount of time I spent with it on a test drive. Pretty good bass I thought.
Alas I would really like the B&W system... had it on a Volvo and it was glorious... aside from some door rattles.
it's actually probably a blessing in disguise. I'm a sucker for premium audio systems and right now with the family in the car 95% of the time... why spend the money on it? I can barely enjoy it anyways.
