Not to belittle the Team RLL results, this is a massive achievement with just 2 races in with a new car. Congrats!

The Balance of Performance for the BMWs was adjusted for Sebring, following a lot of negotiating between BMW and IMSA after Daytona. Since the cars were all new for Daytona, IMSA didn’t know what to allow for the BMWs, so they were overly restricted. With the B of P adjusted, the BMWs showed their true abilities at Sebring. The poor showing at Daytona had nothing to do with BMW, the team or the cars - it had everything to do with the sanctioning body trying to keep all the cars in the class on an “equally competitive” basis.
I’ll bet IMSA will leave the B of P alone for the next race, but if BMW wins by a big margin, the B of P will be adjusted again. (Sandbagging is a virtue, if you’re the leader in an IMSA race.)
