no worries, you're not the first to make the mistake. ;P
regarding your 'fit' comment. the AliExpress one doesn't fit well not because you have the M50i vs 40i, (both have the exact same M Sport body proportions), it's because you got it from AliExpress!
not knocking on ya'. I've ordered several things from them for my hobby, but one needs to lower their expectations about quality
