They darn well better fix it. This is the thing that people notice, and it will cost them sales. My guess is that we see gradual improvement until the issue is fixed, without any admission that the first batches had anything wrong, or maybe they'll fix it at the model year changeover. Then they can say "we changed the seat design for 2020." I think 2019 owners are definitely hosed, though.

So far BMW is going with it’s a feature, not a bug. Odd thing is, how hard can it be to get a leather seat right?
