I've never owned an X5 before.... but I have owned two different 3 series'. The first with the hifi, and the 2nd with the HK.
I can tell you, that the hifi was rock-bottom quality..... not even for a BMW. It was rock bottom for a Hyundai.
Absolutely terrible.
