Edit: After doing some more research the information regarding no treatments must apply to the manufacturing process and not the care of the leather. While there are many articles out there saying that you do not need to use conditioner on modern leather seats that seems to apply to the lower grades of leather that are coated. I found a BMWBlog article that specifically state that Merino should be conditioned.

This was posted awhile ago on another forum. It is from some marketing materials. It looks like the best is to not treat Merino with any products. I have seen a number of folks recommend just dusting with a microfiber and spot cleaning when needed.
