Problem as I see it, when BMW do appear to keep design relatively simple we hear the cry, "too bland", "why don't BMW make something a bit different, not the same old designs".
BTW, how do BMW 'purists' see the design of something like the F10/F11? Not the size, but the form.
Personally having lived with a BMW E39 and the F11, I see the F11 being more the natural progression from an E39, than having the E60/E61 in between the generations.
