I think it’s the camera but BMW is trying hard not to replace them. Have your service manager bother BMW NA. I’m going to dig around and see if any other BMWs are having this issue. I’m guessing that camera is used on other models.
That said, it’s just plain stupid that they cannot fix the thing.
