Adding another data point:
Joined after purchasing a 2024 X5 50e.
CEL come up after a month (~500miles) and the service dept just cleared it and claimed it's software issue. No issue since then.
Just recently, after about 4month and total ~1,900miles on the car, the CEL come again and along with some warning message related to high-voltage system. Brought to dealer and was informed SME needs to be replaced.
They did manage to get a part from another dealer in US after a week, but the new part was found to be defective, and I'm now waiting for them to give me an estimate on how long it's going to take.
Seriously considering returning/lemon the car if any issue happens again after this.
