Had a Dyson pet upright and when it broke the repair cost/time was so great that we pitched it. Not really designed to be serviced, apparently.

We already had a Miele canister which I prefer. Got a Miele upright (stick, whatever) which my wife likes for getting under things. She also got a Shark upright with the detachable cordless for small stuff. She likes the Shark. We both use the Miele canister more than any other. It is now 10 years old and going like a champ.

I have a Samsung robot that I had running at a house that we just sold. Kept me from having to go vacuum up bugs every time there was a showing. I intend to set it up here some day and see how it does with furniture.
