Today I did the Gnesau, Austria- Wurzenpass (into Slovenia)- Kranjska Gora - Vrsic pass - Bovec - Trieste (Italy)- Verona (Italy) Route.
Julian alps in Slovenia are pretty, but the roads are narrow and poorly maintained. Wurzenpass and Vrsic pass probably more suited for dirt bike instead of a car.
Anyway, after doing the mountain passes I drove south along Soca river, then stopped in Trieste, Italy and spent the night near Verona.
