Any of the original cars that the original B58 launched with like the M240i getting all this revised kit?
Legacy F Generation products (2 Series and 4 Series) will continue with the original B58 until they end production (in 2020 or 2021 depending on model). The next generation G2x 4 Series will get the new B58 while the next generation G4x 2 Series will get the B48 only. It is unknown whether the M2 will get a special high output B58 or a low output S58.

While this is true, right now only the X5 and X7 have the latest version of the engine, the B58B30M1. Although changes from the B58B30M0 are minimal, it seems that Wards is specifically giving the award to that engine.

And soon, the new high output B58B30O1 will kick off production in the M340i and Z4 M40i. I would not be surprised to see that version win next year.

By the end of the year, all G generation vehicles in the 5, 6, 7, and 8 families will have the M1 and all G generation vehicles in the 3 and 4 families will have the O1.
