My car will be out tomorrow done with the 07/2020.xx update. I am a fan of CarPlay and can't wait to see its Nav in the HUD. Also a big fan of Lane Keep Assistant. Some said here that its improved. I would give that a try first thing tomorrow when she is out.

Excellent, then you should be set. For my test the CarPlay directions seem to work just like iDrive, it even shows the various lanes and which one to be in in the HUD.
I almost always have the cruise with steering/lane control enabled so haven't noticed any changes to lane keeping in the little I used it. |
And you mentioned it only works with Apple Maps not Google Maps (both via CarPlay)?
