I would add the LED laser lights as an extra option for 1k (on top of premium package). The sky lounge is the only other thing I would want to add (and can't as an option). So is the executive package really worth it just to add the sky lounge?

There are many other options in the Executive Package (versus Premium Package) that I think makes it a no-brainer to choose the Executive Package. The Sky Lounge for me was just an added bonus. The total price difference between the two packages is $3,300. And for that, you get
(1) Laser Lights ($1000 value),
(2) Drive Recorder ($200 value),
(3) Rear manual side window shades ($250 value),
(4) Soft-close Doors ($500-600 value based on previous generation X5 pricing),
(5) Parking Assistance Package ($700 value),
(6) Heated/cooled cupholders (no set value, but assume something like $200-300),
(7) Sky Lounge (approx. $1000 value based on what I've seen on other models)
This adds up to about $4k worth of options for only $3,300. If you're going to get Premium Package and then pay $1000 for Laser Lights and $700 for Parking Assistance Package, then you're really talking about only an additional $1,600 to get you the Executive Package. It really is a no-brainer for me, but of course totally up to you!

I think indeed parking assistance package is worth considering too. Is 360 view part of this package? Than I would really advise to order it.
Soft close I have too. Also not really necessary but nice to have.
And at this price range 1 K more or less is not going to make the difference so better chose it exactly as you like.
I have the roof and I like it. Gives a luxurious look. But not really necessary of course. And you don't see it your self as mentioned
By the way they are not separate leds but a sort of figure scratched in the glass and 2 led strips on the sides reflecting in those giving the effect.
