Actually, there is a combined system for both cooling and heating the battery and the cabin.
You can read all about it in the ST2005 G05 PHEV Complete Vehicle manual.
"TheG05PHEV, like the BMW Hybrid Generation 3.0 iPerformance vehicles, deploys a refrigerant
circuit to cool the vehicle interior and the high-voltage battery unit. The air conditioning condenser
from the predecessor has been replaced by theestablishedcoolant-cooled air conditioning condenser."
