BMW puts a battery heater in their BEVs, but it seems there is not one in their PHEVs. Cooling is, IMHO, a requirement on any decent EV, and it does have that. I'd be happier if it had a heat pump for cabin preconditioning, as that's more efficient most of the time unless it's too cold, and it needs to use the backup resistance heating, which is, I think, the only heat the 45e has unless the ICE is running.
