One positive note is that future outbreaks will now have a set standard in how they will be handled. They may not be handled the way that all of us agree upon, but we as humans tend to not have strategies set in place until something like this occurs. Perhaps this is the situation, that forces us to have measures in place, to reduce casualties in the future of a potentially more devastating outbreak.
On a similar note, I do foresee this changing societal norms on some level.
