New to towing. X45E manual says max trailer load without brakes is 1653 lbs, but towing capacity with brakes is 5952. I towed an unloaded trailer (1400 lbs) yesterday and the braking performance was fine. I’m putting a 4 seat UTV on it (1700 lbs). So combined weight of 3,100 or so. I assume I need a brake controller. Thinking of the Curt echo Bluetooth one.
