I finally got around to installing the Skene bracket (extra short size). It pays to spend some time tweaking the bracket for proper angle and level when mounted and do some dry runs before mounting. I use a smaller drill bit than what they send for the pilot holes...the screws bite harder into the underside that way. With the 3M tape and secured with the screws it's mounted tight. I like the clean look it provides and saves the face of the bumper from drilled holes.
