Case in point - 1% on my X5 when I ordered it would have been incredible and very unrealistic. However, 1% on my M340i would be quite a weak deal because so many others (as did I) were able to get below that.

What determines if you're getting a good deal or not is how your deal compares to others of the same car and region.

In your case I think you did very well. 11% off pre-incentive with buy-rate money factor is up there with some of the better deals on an X5.
Well said. He's absolutely right. There is no way in the world I could've gotten close to 1% of my MSRP for my 2020 X5 (even with 12, 13, or 14% off pre-incentives). However, I'm well below 1% of my MSRP on my 2019 440i GC payment. So really, as wtwo3 said, it depends on what others are getting in your region. Overall though, 11% off on a brand new custom order X5 in the beginning of the year is a win in my book. Count your blessings and order away!
