Hitting us with the knowledge!! Here are Some other ones people might not know
Hyundai has started using "N" for their performance models which stands for "Race" (in Korean, the word for "Race" starts with the letter "N")
Honda's venerated "Type R" references the "R's" in the word "Pe
rfo
rmance"
The "F" in Lexus' performance line stands for "Excitement" since "F" and "E" are right next to each other in the alphabet.
Audi's "S" and "RS" aren't actually referencing words, but rather corner shapes, the "S" is obviously a gentle sweeper, while the "R" makes reference to the 'joker' lap that must be taken in rallycross races, further evoking audi's rallying history.
Lastly, i'd like to point out that the my M car does too smell better than more plebeian BMWs. That's why our brochures come with a scratch-m-sniff.
