Mine works as well but does not turn on nearly as often as it does for our friends in Europe. I have spent a lot of time evaluating ECE settings vs. ours and other than Laendervarient issues, I cannot tell why ours are less sensitive. I have also found changing certain settings to ECE messes with US sign recognition and other related issues.

I do not mean to discourage you from testing. Please do. Of course it is difficult because you can only test late at night in proper lighting circumstances. Also, there aren't a lot of options for the these settings. It will likely require you to discover alternative werte values that increase or decrease sensitivity.
