One scenario that we haven't gotten tested yet is to continue doing what was done in the 19s and 20s. Code the vehicle to remember the last state of the ASS system and then put it into Sport to have the system turn off. Hopefully on the next start the ASS will be off.
It was brought up that this will not work due to how the Sport mode overrides the ASS system rather than shutting it off but it may be worth a try. If not, PeterK1's workaround would be the solution.
