It's pretty simple to remove the numbers and letters on most cars. If there is ghosting left over, a few minutes with some rubbing compound and then rewaxing will get rid of it.

Personally, I've always debadged my cars. Looks a lot cleaner to me. And I think the numbers on the BMWs have always looked cheap. I'd rather have an M3, M6, etc. or nothing.
