All this talk reinforces why I religiously maintain personal equipment. An example is I have two cell phones. One for work and one for personal. Many of my colleagues merge their use where their work provided phone is used for personal. I refuse to do this because of the mindset that has been burned into my head working all those years in the Fed. The Feds can confiscate and go through any personal item you have if it's been used for official business or has touched a government network.
I'm currently and have in the past been provided with a company laptop. Again, I carry my own personal laptop with me to do personal stuff connected to my own personal hot spot and only use my work laptop for work.
